Framed Systems ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through framedsystems.com and in the course of working with you, how we use it, and the choices you have. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

Who we are

Framed Systems is a business operated by Julian Breda in the Greater Toronto Area, Ontario, Canada. Julian Breda is responsible for how we handle personal information. You can reach us at info@framedsystems.com or 416.275.7022.

What we collect

• When you book a call: your name, email address, phone number and anything you choose to tell us about your business, entered on our booking page (provided by Microsoft Bookings).
• When you email, call or text us: your contact details and the contents of your message.
• When we work together: the business information you share with us so we can scope, build and support your project.

Our website does not use cookies or advertising pixels, and it has no forms that collect information directly. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are viewed. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't track individual visitors, and only gives us combined statistics.

How we use it

• To respond to you and hold the call you booked.
• To prepare proposals and deliver, support and invoice the work you hire us for.
• To keep records we're required to keep, such as for accounting and tax purposes.

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't send you marketing emails unless you've agreed to receive them.

Service providers we use

We use trusted providers to run our business. They handle information on our behalf and may store it on servers outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to the laws of that country.

• Microsoft 365 for email, calendar and call booking.
• GitHub Pages to host this website. Like most web hosts, it may keep basic technical logs such as IP addresses for security.
• Cloudflare Web Analytics for privacy-friendly, cookie-free visit statistics.
• Google Fonts to display the fonts on this website, which means your browser connects to Google's servers.

Information in client systems we build

When we build or manage systems for a client, the data in those systems belongs to the client. We only access it to build, support and maintain the work we've been hired to do, and we handle it according to our agreement with that client.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as required by law, then delete it or make it anonymous.

How we protect it

We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information, including secure, access-controlled accounts and limiting access to the people who need it.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to us using it (subject to legal or contractual limits). Email info@framedsystems.com and we'll respond within 30 days.

If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
